3D Carbon Low Profile Spoiler Protector Accent with Logo
Your trunk is probably missing a handle to pull it close. So you reach up and grab the spoiler. Each time you do that there is a chance to scratch the clearcoat. Aside from protecting your spoiler a little, this overlay gives it a little more style.
NOT ALL MATERIALS ARE CREATED EQUALLY
CUSTOMER MESSAGE - "Got them just now, thanks for including a(n) extra set! I've had 2 sets of CF look ones from another seller and silver stars kept peeling and the carbon look faded really bad."
When purchasing vinyl overlays, keep in mind that not all materials are created equally. I use premium vinyl which has high initial costs, but are the industry standards for high quality materials. The air egress liner also aids in large graphic application. - Minimum application temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit. - Up to 5 year durability outdoors. Rated EXCELLENT for WATER RESISTANCE, HUMIDITY RESISTANCE, and SOLVENT RESISTANCE.
Clean the spoiler and prepare it for install. Make sure it is clean and free of products like wax.
The logo has some transfer paper to hold everything in perfect alignment. It is centered and can be used as a reference point. You can wet the bottom of the vinyl with some slightly soapy water if you don't think you can center it up very easily.
The vinyl does have air egress channels in addition to your use of water though so you shouldn't have bubbles get stuck underneath this piece.
Take a close look at our photos. You want to lay the vinyl down in the natural curves of the spoiler. Once centered you can press down a firmly with your fingers. We don't recommend using squegees. Your fingers work perfectly fine. If you used water, you want to push out the water and air until it sticks well. Some light heat from a hairdryer can speed up the drying process and stretch the vinyl slightly if you're just a little off.
Awesome as always!
IMO really completes the look of the gurney flap I placed on the trunk lid. The vinyl itself was very high quality and was very easy to install
