Ditch the Suction Cup. Mount Your Radar the Right Way.
Suction cup radar mounts work until they don't — and they always seem to fail on the hottest day of the year. This 3M Adhesive Radar Detector Mount replaces the suction cup with a permanent 3M tape bond to your windshield or trim panel. It's the same mounting footprint your radar already uses, so the center connector piece from your existing suction cup mount drops right in — giving you compatibility across Escort, Uniden, Beltronics, Valentine, and most other brands over multiple generations.
Pre-applied 3M adhesive makes installation straightforward. Clean the glass, press firmly, and let it cure. Important: orient the mount with more tape surface above the radar's connection point — the weight of the detector pulls the top of the mount harder, so you want that extra adhesive contact up top where it counts.
Installation Notes
-
Center connector not included — remove it from your original suction cup mount and use it with this base
- Ideal tape application temperature: 70°F to 100°F (21°C to 38°C)
- Orient with more tape surface above the mounting point — the radar's weight loads the top of the mount
- Clean windshield with isopropyl alcohol before applying for maximum bond strength
- Allow 24 hours cure time before loading with the radar detector

FAQ
What is the center connector piece?
It's the small plastic adapter that physically connects your radar detector to the mount. Your existing suction cup mount has one — pull it out and it will click into this 3M base. This design is what makes the mount compatible with so many brands and generations without needing separate adapters.
Will this stick to a tinted windshield?
Yes — 3M adhesive bonds to glass regardless of tint film on the interior. Clean the surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol before applying.
Can I remove it without damaging the windshield?
3M adhesive can be removed with heat (heat gun or hair dryer) and a dental floss / fishing line technique to slice under the pad. Some residue may remain but it cleans off with adhesive remover.
Which radar detectors does this fit?
Any brand that uses the standard mounting footprint — Escort (all models), Uniden, Beltronics, Valentine One, and most others. As long as your detector's suction cup mount has a removable center connector piece, this will work.
