2025+ Toyota 4Runner Fog Light Overlays - Tint, Smoke, or Color?

StickerFab

The 2025 Toyota 4Runner came out swinging with a bold redesign, and those prominent front fog lights are one of its most distinctive features. It's no surprise that fog light overlays became one of the first mods to hit the market. If you're looking to tint, smoke, or add a color accent to your fog lights without touching wiring or spending $200+ on replacement housings, overlays are the move.

Fitment Notice: These overlays fit the 2025+ Toyota 4Runner on most trims. They do NOT fit the TRD Pro or Trailhunter, which have a different front fascia with different fog light housing positions. Double-check your trim before ordering.

Why Customize the Fog Lights on the 2025 4Runner?

The new 6th gen 4Runner's front end design puts the fog lights front and center - they're large, prominent, and impossible to miss. That makes them a natural starting point for exterior customization. Whether you're going full blackout build, trying to match your window tint, or just want to tone down the chrome and plastic look, fog light overlays get the job done fast.

Our 2025 4Runner Fog Light Overlays are precision-cut vinyl overlays that sit over the fog light housing. You get the custom look without cutting any wires, pulling any fuses, or voiding anything under the hood.

Overlays vs. Replacement Housings - What's the Difference?

Aftermarket fog light replacements can run $200 or more per side, and most require at least some wiring work. Installation can take hours. Overlays are the opposite: $20-30, peel-and-stick, done in 15 minutes. If you're not happy with the look, you peel them off and you're back to stock. No commitment, no risk, no tools required.

The overlays go on the housing surround - not on the lens itself - so your actual light output is unaffected. You keep full fog light functionality while getting the custom look you're after. For most 4Runner owners building a blacked-out or stealth build, that's the perfect combination.

Color and Finish Options

Fog light overlays for the 2025 4Runner come in multiple finish options - smoke/tint (darkened), yellow, amber, and additional colors depending on current availability. Check the product listing for in-stock variants. Smoke is the most popular choice for blackout builds, while smoked works well if you're matching other exterior trim accents like mirror caps or door handles.

How to Install

Installation takes about 15-20 minutes for both sides.  StickerFab provides instructions for each vinyl product right on the product page.

  1. Press firmly around all edges and let cure for a few hours.

No heat gun needed for install. For removal, a heat gun or hair dryer makes the process clean and damage-free. These are made from cast vinyl with a permanent adhesive that holds through weather, car washes, and UV exposure - but still releases cleanly when you need to remove them.

UPDATE:  There are new acrylic over lenses available as well.

Pair It with Other 4Runner Blackout Mods

Fog light overlays look even better when paired with other exterior mods. The 2025 4Runner's front end has a lot of chrome and plastic trim that responds well to a full blackout treatment. Once the fog lights are done, consider the headlight area, mirror caps, and door trim for a cohesive look. Our 4Runner fog light overlays are a solid first step into building the exterior you want.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these fit the TRD Pro or Trailhunter?

No. These overlays do NOT fit the TRD Pro or Trailhunter. Both trims have a different front fascia with different fog light housing positions. These overlays will not align correctly on those trims. Check your trim level before ordering.

Are these overlays reversible?

Yes. The vinyl adhesive holds firmly but releases cleanly. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the overlay, then peel from one corner. The housing underneath will be undamaged.

How long does installation take?

Most people complete both sides in 15-20 minutes. Clean the surface, peel, align, and press. No tools, no drilling, no wiring.

Do these affect my fog light output?

No. The overlays sit on the housing surround, not on the lens itself. Your actual light beam and output are completely unaffected. You keep full fog light functionality after install.
