Why Your 2.3L EcoBoost Needs a Catch Can
The Bronco's 2.3L EcoBoost uses direct injection — great for efficiency, but it means fuel no longer washes the back of your intake valves clean. As crankcase blow-by flows over those valves, oil and carbon deposits build up, choking airflow and eventually keeping the valves from sealing properly.
The best way to treat carbon buildup is to prevent it. This Mishimoto direct-fit kit diverts blow-by away from the intake and traps it in the can — so only clean air returns to your engine.

Baffled, Not Just a Bottle
Inside the 3 fl. oz. anodized 6061 aluminum can, a set of air turbulators and internal baffles separate fuel, oil, and water vapor from the crankcase gases and collect them to be drained at your next oil change. A sintered bronze filter removes any remaining carbon so clean air returns to the intake.
By keeping blow-by out of your oil pan, the kit prevents the oil fouling that accelerates engine wear.

Built to Survive the Trail
The included direct-fit mounting bracket is CNC-formed from 2.7mm-thick steel and positions the can away from engine vibration — no rattles, no fatigue cracks. Fuel- and oil-resistant hoses come with factory-style quick-disconnect fittings pre-installed, so the whole system taps into the OEM lines cleanly and comes apart just as easily for service.

This is a complete bolt-on blow-by solution with everything needed for a hassle-free install. Torque all worm-gear clamps to 22 in-lbs (2.5 NM); do not exceed 27 in-lbs (3 NM). Full step-by-step instructions are included in the box.

🔧 Maintenance Tip
After installation, check the contents of the baffled can every 1,000 miles until you establish a baseline. Blow-by accumulation varies with ambient temperature and driving conditions — just make sure the contents never rise above the internal baffle, then drain it at each oil change.
