Understanding Your Options
Every DEK builds on the same all-metal Kuat rack. Your configuration (A–E above) comes down to four simple choices:
1 · Lightbar
SS40 Stage Series (configs A–D) — a single, clean, low-profile lightbar built into the front of the rack. SS5 CrossLink 7-Pod (config E) — seven individual SS5 pods linked into one aggressive-looking bar for maximum output and the boldest look.
2 · Power Level
Sport (A, B, E) — excellent brightness and value. Pro (C, D) — a noticeable step up in wattage and output for those who want the most light.
3 · Color Output
White Combo (A, C, E) — true 6000K cool white that matches most factory LEDs. Dual-Color (DC) Combo (B, D) — cool-white inner segments plus selective yellow outer segments, switchable on the fly with patented SmartSelect (inner-only, outer-only, or full bar).
4 · Backlight
Every option has a fully illuminated accent backlight. White (A, C) = amber-only backlight. Dual-Color & SS5 CrossLink (B, D, E) = selectable multicolor backlight with eight colors and a dynamic startup sequence — just cycle the power to change it.

Choose Your Lighting Setup
The DEK is available with two integrated lighting configurations:

Stage Series (SS40) — mounts an SS40 Stage Series lightbar for a cleaner, low-profile appearance.
Both are engineered from the ground up with modern optical, thermal, and circuit-board technology. Diode Dynamics' TIR optics capture and focus nearly all light output, directing it precisely where you need it — without glare or wasted light.

Two Lighting Configurations
Functional Light Output
Stage Series (SS40) — features the all-new Combo/Driving pattern that blends distance and width into one balanced beam. Dozens of carefully designed pillow optics produce an even 60×30° output with real downrange throw and ample foreground illumination — no harsh hotspot or wasted glare.
SS5 CrossLink — features the Driving pattern for extra punch and distance ahead without being a tight spot. A slightly broad-spot beam that balances reach and width at 30×20°.
Choose Your Light & Power Level
Sport or Pro. Both use high-intensity, automotive-grade LEDs and advanced TIR optics. The Sport model delivers excellent value; the Pro model provides a noticeable increase in power and output.
Fully Illuminated Backlight
Both lighting options include a fully illuminated backlight that lights up the TIR optic when the main beam is off — a unique accent look you won't find on other LED lightbars.
The White Stage Series option includes an amber-only backlight with no startup sequence. The Dual-Color Stage Series and SS5 CrossLink options feature a selectable multicolor backlight with eight color choices and a dynamic startup sequence. Selecting a color is simple — just cycle the power on and off. No controllers or programming required.

Stage Series lightbars come in White (true 6000K cool white that matches most factory LEDs) or Dual-Color (cool white inner + selective yellow outer segments). Patented SmartSelect technology lets you run inner-only, outer-only, or the full lightbar — no extra wiring or switches. Just cycle the main beam power.
Want to change your beam pattern or color later? Interchangeable lenses make customizing your lightbar easy with available replacement lenses.
