Fill In That ZL1 Hood Indention the Way It Should Look
Chevy took the time to mold a unique ZL1 logo indention under the hood of the 2012-2015 Camaro ZL1, then left it empty. These vinyl overlays fix that — precision-cut to fill the molded letters and give them a finished, two-tone look with the "1" in red and your choice of base color for "ZL." Installed correctly, the vinyl follows the angled wall of the indention and gives the lettering a subtle 3D depth that catches the eye every time the hood goes up.

Color Note
Your color selection applies to the ZL portion. The 1 is always overlaid in red — this is the standard look for this product. For custom color requests on the "1", message us before ordering.
Installation
Wet install recommended for easy alignment in the molded indention.
- Clean the indention thoroughly — remove any dust, wax, or residue
- Mist the indention and the adhesive side of the vinyl with soapy water (1 drop dish soap per cup of water)
- Slide the vinyl into position — align each letter to the top-left corner of its indention, then let the vinyl lay over the angled right wall for a 3D effect
- Once aligned, push out the water and air bubbles from center to edges with your fingers
- Use a hair dryer or heat gun on low to dry and increase adhesion

Can I get a different color for the "1"?
The standard product ships with a red "1" overlay. For custom color requests, message us before ordering and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Does the vinyl follow the contour of the molded indention?
Yes — align the letters to the top-left corner of each indention and let the vinyl lay naturally over the angled right wall. This creates the 3D depth effect that makes the logo pop.
Will this work on the 2016+ Camaro ZL1?
This is cut specifically for the 2012-2015 ZL1 hood indention. The 6th Gen ZL1 (2016+) has a different engine cover design — this may not fit correctly.
