2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Auto Stop Eliminator
Permanently disable automatic start-stop on your Chevrolet Silverado 1500 — the engine stays running the way you want, every single drive.
Stop Pressing That Button Every Drive
The auto start-stop system on your Chevrolet Silverado 1500 shuts the engine off at every red light and stop sign to chase a tiny fuel-economy bump — and it gets old fast. Tapping the off button every time you get in isn't a real fix. This Chevrolet Silverado 1500 auto start-stop eliminator permanently disables it the moment you start the vehicle, so the engine stays running.
Installation is genuinely plug-and-play — it uses factory connectors, keeps the factory button working if you ever want to re-enable the system, and takes just a few minutes.
🔎 Which Harness Do I Need?
Your 2022 Silverado 1500 uses one of two harnesses depending on your build — check the 12th digit of your VIN: • 5 or higher → choose the AE079 (easy under-dash install) • 4 or lower → choose the AE030 (installs behind the start/stop switch)
Why the Autostop Eliminator Beats Cheap OBD "Hacks"
Our design avoids every negative side-effect because it interacts with your Chevrolet Silverado 1500 exactly as GM intended — through the factory switch connection, not the diagnostic port. That means:
Keeps your factory warranty intact — zero software modifications or ECU reflash
No parasitic battery drain
Active Fuel Management (AFM) stays fully operational
Safety systems stay active — airbags, ABS and check-engine monitoring keep working, unlike OBD-port devices that can disable them
Respects the factory battery-management system, so over-the-air (OTA) updates still work normally
Fully compatible with factory and aftermarket remote start
Installation
AE079 — Under-Dash Install
The AE079 installs below the dash on the driver's side in just a few minutes. No screws, no panels to remove. Watch the walkthrough.
AE030 — Behind the Switch
The AE030 installs behind the auto start/stop switch. The process is different from the AE079 — follow this video for the AE030.

Will this disable auto start-stop permanently? Yes — it automatically disables the system every time you start your Silverado 1500, so you never have to press the button again. The factory button still works if you ever want to re-enable it.
Will it throw a check engine light? No. The device is emissions compliant and does not trigger any diagnostic trouble codes.
Is the installation difficult? No — it's a plug-and-play install using factory connectors that takes just a few minutes. No cutting wires, no programming.
Can I revert to stock? Yes. The device makes no permanent changes — simply unplug it to return the vehicle to factory behavior.
Does it keep AFM and remote start working? Yes. Because it works through the factory switch (not the OBD port), Active Fuel Management and factory/aftermarket remote start stay fully functional.
