Clean the application and surrounding areas prior to applying. We recommend the following items for installation:
Make sure the area is clean and free from any product similar to Armor All. This installation requires a warm environment and a little stretching of the material. Please see our installation video. Use it for general guidelines.
Always hesitate to to leave a review when less than positive- but maybe will help others. Another reviewer mentioned the difficulty installing this item and I ran into the same issue could not get the item to contour properly to the surface - it was colder than usual here so maybe should have waited until it was warmer to attempt the install. Other reviewer mentioned getting 2 sets and was successful on the second attempt. Unfortunately I only received 1 set and did not get a second chance at the install. I was not able to get it to install without one area wanting to not completely adhere without wanting to pop off. Probably user error. But some installation guidance on how to get good results would be helpful as this one is deceptively tricky.
I received two sets of overlays for the dimmer/trunk switch. I had so much difficulty with the first one, (in terms of getting the material to bend and lay flat on the contoured surfaces), that I removed it. After a couple of weeks, I tried again with the second set and had much better luck. See the attached photo.
