Thank you for visiting my veteran owned shop. Most of our vehicles came with dealer installed door edge protection except our new 4C. With kids and tight parking lots, I thought it would be necessary to come up with something.
This kit includes 2 strips which is enough to do any Alfa Romeo 4C. It also has 2 additional small strips so you can practice going over curves before installing the long strips.
Orafol brand material. 6 mil Clear Gloss PVC Laminate/Paint Protection Film.
INSTALLATION TIPS
No special tools are needed to apply. You will just use your fingers. Be sure your hands are clean.
Cleaning your vehicle in the install area is super important. You don't want to get anything between the optically clear material and your paint. If you do, the install will be slightly more noticeable. You also need to clean the back side of the door as the material wraps around the inside.
Leave more material to go around the door than on the outside of the door. Within reason you can decide how thick you want to make the visible portion though.
Apply by starting at the very bottom of the door. Slowly work your way up. Apply firm force with your fingers to make sure there are no air bubbles. Since this is a small application area, you do not need to wet the material. Just make sure your hands are clean too.
