2025+ Toyota 4Runner Fog Light Overlays - Tint, Smoke, or Color?

StickerFab

The 2025 Toyota 4Runner came out swinging with a bold redesign, and those prominent front fog lights are one of its most distinctive features. It's no surprise that fog light overlays became one of the first mods to hit the market. If you're looking to tint, smoke, or add a color accent to your fog lights without touching wiring or spending $200+ on replacement housings, overlays are the move.

Fitment Notice: These overlays fit the 2025+ Toyota 4Runner on most trims. They do NOT fit the TRD Pro or Trailhunter, which have a different front fascia with different fog light housing positions. Double-check your trim before ordering.

Why Customize the Fog Lights on the 2025 4Runner?

The new 6th gen 4Runner's front end design puts the fog lights front and center - they're large, prominent, and impossible to miss. That makes them a natural starting point for exterior customization. Whether you're going full blackout build, trying to match your window tint, or just want to tone down the chrome and plastic look, fog light overlays get the job done fast.

Our 2025 4Runner Fog Light Overlays are precision-cut vinyl overlays that sit over the fog light housing. You get the custom look without cutting any wires, pulling any fuses, or voiding anything under the hood.

Overlays vs. Replacement Housings - What's the Difference?

Aftermarket fog light replacements can run $200 or more per side, and most require at least some wiring work. Installation can take hours. Overlays are the opposite: $20-30, peel-and-stick, done in 15 minutes. If you're not happy with the look, you peel them off and you're back to stock. No commitment, no risk, no tools required.

4Runner fog light overlay color options detail

The overlays go on the housing surround - not on the lens itself - so your actual light output is unaffected. You keep full fog light functionality while getting the custom look you're after. For most 4Runner owners building a blacked-out or stealth build, that's the perfect combination.

Color and Finish Options

Fog light overlays for the 2025 4Runner come in multiple finish options - smoke/tint (darkened), yellow, amber, and additional colors depending on current availability. Check the product listing for in-stock variants. Smoke is the most popular choice for blackout builds, while smoked works well if you're matching other exterior trim accents like mirror caps or door handles.

How to Install

Installation takes about 15-20 minutes for both sides.  StickerFab provides instructions for each vinyl product right on the product page.

  1. Press firmly around all edges and let cure for a few hours.

No heat gun needed for install. For removal, a heat gun or hair dryer makes the process clean and damage-free. These are made from cast vinyl with a permanent adhesive that holds through weather, car washes, and UV exposure - but still releases cleanly when you need to remove them.

UPDATE:  There are new acrylic over lenses available as well.

Pair It with Other 4Runner Blackout Mods

Fog light overlays look even better when paired with other exterior mods. The 2025 4Runner's front end has a lot of chrome and plastic trim that responds well to a full blackout treatment. Once the fog lights are done, consider the headlight area, mirror caps, and door trim for a cohesive look. Our 4Runner fog light overlays are a solid first step into building the exterior you want.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these fit the TRD Pro or Trailhunter?

No. These overlays do NOT fit the TRD Pro or Trailhunter. Both trims have a different front fascia with different fog light housing positions. These overlays will not align correctly on those trims. Check your trim level before ordering.

Are these overlays reversible?

Yes. The vinyl adhesive holds firmly but releases cleanly. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the overlay, then peel from one corner. The housing underneath will be undamaged.

How long does installation take?

Most people complete both sides in 15-20 minutes. Clean the surface, peel, align, and press. No tools, no drilling, no wiring.

Do these affect my fog light output?

No. The overlays sit on the housing surround, not on the lens itself. Your actual light beam and output are completely unaffected. You keep full fog light functionality after install.

Best Interior Mods for the New 2025 Toyota 4Runner

StickerFab

The 6th-gen 2025 Toyota 4Runner finally got the interior refresh it deserved. Better materials, a proper infotainment screen, and a cleaner overall layout. But a few things still bother owners who look at their 4Runner every day: flat trim panels, generic plastic pieces, and badges that are identical to every other 4Runner on the road.

These interior mods fix that without drilling holes, using adhesives that damage plastic, or requiring any disassembly beyond peeling and pressing.

Topographic Map Dash Overlays

The design nods to the 4Runner's off-road identity without being loud about it. These come in matte black, carbon fiber, and other finishes depending on your interior color scheme. Install is peel-and-stick with no permanent adhesive and takes about 45 minutes for all three pieces.

4Runner interior overlay mod detail

The 3-Piece Topographic Map Dash Overlays for the 2025 4Runner are the best single interior upgrade you can do. They cover the main dash panel and surrounding trim pieces with a precisely cut vinyl overlay featuring a raised topographic map texture that looks factory-designed rather than aftermarket.

Door Handle and Pull Cup Overlays

The interior door handles and pull cups on the 2025 4Runner are one of those details that reads as cheap once you notice it. The textured plastic is fine functionally, but visually it's the same look you've seen on 4Runners for years.

StickerFab makes door handle overlays specific to the 2025 4Runner that cover the pull cup insert and the surrounding trim. These add a contrast finish that makes the door panels look intentional. Most owners go matte black to pair with a dark interior or carbon fiber for the OEM-plus look.

Emblem Overlays

The front grille emblem and any badges on your 4Runner that came with chrome from the factory are easy targets. Emblem overlays are cut to fit over the factory badges and give you a black-on-black or color-matched look without removing the original emblem.

If your 2025 4Runner has the iForceMAX hybrid powertrain badge, blacking that out is one of the first things most owners do. The chrome stands out against darker trim pieces in a way that looks unfinished to anyone who cares about cohesion.

Center Console and Steering Wheel Trim

Center console trim overlays add texture and color contrast to one of the most-touched surfaces in the cabin. These are available in carbon fiber finish for owners who want a sportier feel and matte black for those who prefer a clean, tonal look.

Domed Center Console Accent Trim - 2025+ 4Runner

Steering wheel trim accents are the smaller detail that completes a full interior build. These wrap around the trim ring or accent panels on the steering wheel and require no removal of the wheel itself. The key is getting pieces that are die-cut for your exact wheel rather than generic tape-and-trim strips.

What a Full Interior Blackout Costs

A complete interior blackout for the 2025 4Runner including dash overlays, door handle inserts, emblem overlays, and console trim typically runs $150-$350 depending on which pieces you select and what finish you choose. That's a fraction of what a custom interior shop would charge and the result is fully reversible.

Most owners spread this out over a few orders, starting with the dash overlays and adding pieces as they identify what bothers them most. There's no wrong order, but the dash overlays typically have the highest visual impact per dollar spent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these overlays hard to install?

No. All of the overlays listed here are peel-and-stick and come pre-cut for your specific vehicle. The main steps are cleaning the surface with isopropyl alcohol, positioning the overlay, and pressing it down firmly. Most pieces take 10-20 minutes each. The topographic dash overlays take the longest at around 45 minutes for the full set.

Will these look factory-installed or obviously aftermarket?

Done correctly, they look like a trim option Toyota offers but didn't include at your price point. The key is using cast vinyl (which StickerFab uses) rather than film vinyl, which tends to wrinkle at curves and edges. Cast vinyl conforms to the surface properly and sits flush.

Will they damage the plastic trim when I remove them?

No, as long as you remove them correctly. Use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the vinyl slightly before peeling, and pull slowly at a low angle rather than yanking. The adhesive is designed for automotive interiors and won't leave residue or pull paint on properly applied surfaces.

Can I remove them if I sell the truck?

Yes. These are designed to be temporary modifications. When it's time to sell or trade in, warm each piece with a heat gun and peel carefully. The interior goes back to stock condition in an afternoon.

2025 Toyota 4Runner Air Dam Removal — Should You Do It?

StickerFab

Brand new 2025 4Runner, and one of the first questions every off-road-leaning owner asks is: "What is that big plastic flap hanging off the front, and can I get rid of it?" That's the front air dam — and yes, you absolutely can remove it. But before you yank it off in the driveway, let's talk about what it does, why people remove it, and what you should pair the removal with.

What Is the 2025 4Runner Air Dam?

The air dam is the low-hanging plastic spoiler-style piece bolted to the underside of the front bumper. It hangs down a few inches and runs most of the width of the bumper. Toyota puts it there for one reason: fuel economy. It directs airflow under the vehicle in a way that reduces drag and squeezes out a fraction of an MPG on the EPA test cycle.

That's it. It does nothing for performance, nothing for cooling, nothing for protection. It's an aerodynamic Band-Aid for the EPA window sticker.

Why So Many 4Runner Owners Remove It

1. Approach Angle

The air dam is the lowest point on the front of the truck. It's the first thing to scrape on a steep driveway, the first thing to high-center on a rocky trail entry, and the first thing to catch on a curb when you parallel park aggressively. Removing it instantly improves your approach angle and clears the way for actual off-road use.

2. It Looks Cleaner Without It

Even if you never leave pavement, a lot of owners just don't like the look. The air dam adds visual mass below the bumper that hides the lower bumper's actual lines. Pull it, and the front end suddenly looks tighter, more squared-off, and more like the off-road truck the 4Runner is supposed to be.

3. It's Already Damaged

If you've owned the truck more than a few months, there's a good chance the air dam is already cracked, scuffed, or dragging on one corner. Replacement parts aren't cheap. A lot of owners just remove it and move on.

How to Remove the 2025 4Runner Air Dam

This is one of the easiest mods you can do. No cutting, no modifications, fully reversible if you ever sell the truck.

Tools You'll Need

  • 10mm socket and ratchet (or a small impact)
  • Plastic trim panel removal tool (or a flat-head screwdriver)
  • 15-20 minutes

Step-by-Step

  1. Park on level ground and turn the wheels for access if needed.
  2. Locate the row of bolts and plastic push-pin clips along the air dam — there are typically 8-12 fasteners depending on trim.
  3. Remove the 10mm bolts. Set them aside in a bag (you'll want them if you ever reinstall).
  4. Pop the plastic push pins by lifting the center pin first, then prying out the housing.
  5. The air dam will drop free. Pull it down and out.
  6. Done. Bag the air dam and stash it in the garage in case you ever sell the truck and the next owner wants it.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Better approach angle
  • Cleaner front-end look
  • No more scraping on driveways and curbs
  • Fully reversible
  • Free

Cons

  • Tiny MPG hit on the highway (real-world: usually under 0.5 MPG)
  • If you ever wreck the front bumper, the insurance estimate may include reattachment
  • That's pretty much it

What to Pair With the Air Dam Delete

Once that lower bumper is exposed, the front-end of the 4Runner looks great — but it's also begging for some finishing touches. This is where StickerFab owners stack the wins.

Recommended Front-End Upgrades

  • Toyota badge blackouts — kill the chrome on the grille emblem.
  • Grille and headlight accent overlays — color or carbon to match your build.
  • Tow hook overlays and trim accents — small details that catch eyes at the trailhead.
  • Hood scoop blackouts — pulls the whole front-end together.
  • Door sill protectors — because the rest of the truck deserves love too.

Every overlay is precision-cut from premium cast vinyl, designed for the 2025 4Runner specifically, and printed at our Florida shop.

Make Your 4Runner Trail-Ready

Removing the air dam is one of those zero-dollar mods that immediately makes your 4Runner look and behave more like the off-road truck Toyota wants you to think it is. Pair it with the right finishing touches and your sixth-gen 4Runner will stand out at every trailhead, cars-and-coffee, or grocery store parking lot you roll into.

How to Remote Start Your 2025 Toyota 4Runner with the Key Fob

StickerFab

Brand new 2025 Toyota 4Runner sitting in the driveway and you're standing in the cold trying to figure out why the dang thing won't remote start? Welcome to the club. Toyota's key fob remote start is fantastic — once someone tells you how it works. Here's the exact sequence for the new sixth-gen 4Runner.

Yes, the 2025 4Runner Has Free Key Fob Remote Start

A lot of new 4Runner owners assume remote start requires a paid Toyota Connected Services subscription. Wrong. The app-based remote start does, but the key fob has a built-in remote-start sequence that works for free, anytime, no subscription needed. You just have to know the button combination — and Toyota didn't put a giant "REMOTE START" button on the fob to spell it out for you.

The 2025 4Runner Remote Start Sequence

It's the same sequence Toyota has used across most of its current lineup, which is convenient if you've owned a recent Tacoma, Tundra, RAV4, or Land Cruiser.

Step-by-Step

  1. Press the LOCK button once.
  2. Press the LOCK button again within a few seconds.
  3. Press and HOLD the LOCK button for 3+ seconds.

Lock → Lock → Lock-and-hold. That's the whole trick. The 4Runner will fire up, parking lights will flash, and your climate settings from your last drive will pick right back up.

Runtime and Stopping It

  • The engine runs for approximately 10 minutes before automatic shutdown.
  • To extend it, just repeat the sequence.
  • To stop it early, press LOCK once.
  • Opening any door, pressing the brake without the fob present, or putting it in any gear other than Park will also kill it.

Conditions That Have to Be Met

Remote start has built-in safety checks. If any of these aren't right, the truck won't start:

  • Vehicle is locked
  • Hood is fully closed
  • All doors are closed
  • Vehicle is in Park
  • Hazard lights are off
  • You're within roughly 80 feet (less through walls)

Troubleshooting: Why Your 4Runner Won't Remote Start

  • Hood not fully latched. The most common culprit on brand-new trucks. Lift it and slam it again.
  • Fob battery getting weak. Range will drop off long before the fob fails to unlock the truck. Swap the CR2032.
  • You forgot the first lock press. The truck has to actually be locked before the sequence will work.
  • Distance. The signal is more line-of-sight than the radio in your car. Walk closer to a window.

Now Build Out the Rest of Your 4Runner

The 2025 4Runner is a clean-sheet redesign and Toyota nailed it. But like every new platform, the factory leaves you a lot of room to make it yours — and that's where StickerFab comes in. We've been building overlays for 4Runners since the 5th gen days, and we hit the new sixth-gen running with one of the most complete catalogs you'll find.

Most Popular 2025 4Runner Add-Ons

  • Hood scoop blackouts — clean up that chrome accent without paint.
  • Dash and console accent overlays — color, texture, or carbon-fiber style.
  • Badge blackouts and emblem overlays — debrand or rebrand on your terms.
  • Door sill protectors — protect the paint where boots and bags hit it daily.
  • Gauge cluster and infotainment surround trim — interior pop without ripping anything apart.

Every piece is precision-cut, made from premium cast vinyl, designed in-house, and printed in our Florida shop. No drilling, no permanent mods, no warranty drama — just clean, removable upgrades that make your 4Runner unmistakably yours.

Welcome to the New 4Runner

You've got the remote start sorted. Now go make the truck look as good as it drives.
