The camera takes its power from the adaptive cruise control (ACC) sensor connection with hidden wiring and a plug-to-plug install. There is no A-pillar removal and no tapping into the fuse box or the cigarette lighter.

Motion detection. Stands by to save power, then records a clip when something moves nearby and returns to standby.

Impact recording. On a collision it records for 1 minute and locks the video.

Tip: the camera records without a phone connection, so you can keep using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. To view or download clips, disconnect Bluetooth and connect to the camera's WiFi in the app.

I love the way it look as if it came from the factory. the only problem i encountered was if you use the Toyota app, there is some issues with the bluetooth and the way the toyota app seems to get preference. I solved this by installing the camera app on my IPad. Works great and the videos are much larger when viewing. The installation video makes the removal of the lower panel look easy. It isn't as easy it looks and reinstall took a couple of tries. But when it was done, i love it.
