EZ INSTALL VINYL DOOR CUP PROTECTORS
These pre-cut vinyl protection stickers install in the door cup behind your door handles. They protect your existing paint / clearcoat from scratches and give it a textured appearance.
This EZ Install version is smaller than the original and does not have relief cuts. Installation is slightly easier.
SOLD AS A SET OF 6. Only 4 are required per vehicle. Extra are shipped so there is room for error during installation as you become more familiar with the material.
NOTE: Does not include door handle overlays.
Not All Materials are Created Equally
When purchasing vinyl overlays, keep in mind that not all materials are created equally. I use premium vinyl which has high initial costs, but are the industry standards for high quality materials. Also made in the USA. Dragon Wrap™ Carbon Fiber Films (3D Carbon) is a 5.6 mil calendered vinyl film featuring a clear repositionable permanent acrylic adhesive on an air-egress liner. This film has excellent dimensional stability, outstanding durability and outdoor performance. This repositionable permanent adhesive offers minimal initial bond growing to permanent bonds that facilitates application of large graphics. The air egress liner also aids in large graphic application. Minimum application temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Up to 5 year durability outdoors. Rated EXCELLENT for WATER RESISTANCE, HUMIDITY RESISTANCE, and SOLVENT RESISTANCE.
Matte black and clear materials are also sourced from the US and are of much higher than average quality.
Please follow these guidelines for the best results. Clean the painted surface behind the door handles.
For the carbon fiber version, there are air egress channels so I recommend using a dry application method. Just align the item and press down the center, working your way outward. Hold the ends up and press the material down, stretching it so that it doesn't crease.
For matte black and clear versions, use a slightly soapy, wet application. The water will allow you to remove air from behind the material, preventing bubbles. You will use the same technique though. Press down in the center after aligning the material. Work your ways towards the corners. Do not press down on the corners first.
