BRONCO Hood Overlay

Long before the Bronco came out it has been customary for off roaders to put matte material on their hood to cut out glare.  This glare can come from the sun or lights mounted above the vehicle's hood.

Not only does it serve a function (potentially depending on the color you choose), but it can add some contrast and style at the same time.

NOTE:  2 sets are sold at a reduced price.  Keep it as a backup or in case your first install proves to be difficult.

We're starting off offering 3 different types of materials.  All of these materials are sourced in the US and are a premium choice for your vehicle.

Matte black is one of the easiest colors to install in general.  It stretches and responds to heat very well.

The gloss black we chose has air egress channels and that is why it is a little more expensive than standard colors.  Air egress channels assist in providing a path for air to escape during installation (less bubbles).  Some cost is also due to the fact that it is cast versus calendared.

General Formulations 3D carbon wrap also has air egress channels and a textured, dark appearance.  We've used it for tons of accents.  To clean, use 303 Aerospace Protectant.  It'll look great!  Don't use any type of wax.

All options have high outdoor durability ratings.

Clean the application area to prepare it for installation.  Just use a wax free detailing spray if your vehicle is not too dirty.

NOTES:  We recommend that the installation area be free of wax and not under direct sunlight.

  • Microfiber
  • Detailing Spray
  • Soapy Water (we recommend our StickerFab Installation Fluid)
  • Heat Gun or Hair Dryer (optional)
  • Supplied Felt Tip Squeegee

Wet installs require one drop of dish or hand soap in a cup of water.  Apply to the vinyl so that the first attempt doesn't make the vinyl permanently stick to the surface.  Then you can slide it around and push out the extra water once it is in place with your squeegee.

Try doing the install in the shade so it doesn't heat up the vinyl rapidly.

Watch our video for more details.  We purposely did a long installation and did not skip any parts.  You may fast forward and rewind at your own leisure.

StickerFab is Fabulous!

First one arrived in a completely flattened tube like UPS had ran over it. They got another one right out. Put it on my Badlands Sasquatch today and I love it. The only thing the Wildtrak had that mine didn’t and I wanted. Great fit and looks StickerFab-ulous!

Awesome hood overlay

LOVE this! I purchased 2 of these as I was almost certain I would mess up on the first try but with the help of another person it was pretty easy. Gives your bronco a unique look.

Always a great experience

Product arrived earlier than expected in a protective tube. This time I watched the installation video. Better videos without all the “extras” are found on YouTube. Love the product and ease of installation.

Super difficult to install even after getting the spray, wat hing videos, etc.... Just. Ouldnt get it right so I had to discard it.

We are sorry you were not able to complete your installation. Done in the right environment, the spray will allow you to keep on moving around the vinyl until it is in the desired location. Then you can use a squeegee to smooth it all out.

Using a nice step stool or ladder and a partner for the installation is of great help. Doing it in 70-80 degree weather without direct sunlight on a hood that isn't hot are other small key factors that make a difference.

We don't know your entire situation, but those are some general tips that might help you in the future or others that read this.

Easy Wet Install

It’s much easier when you have another person helping. The matte black was one of the easiest vinyl installs I’ve ever done. I ordered 2 incase I messed up. I now have a spare. Love the look and highly recommend!
