Keep your 2.3L EcoBoost intake clean. Billet-aluminum catch can that stops oil vapor from fouling your intake tract and diluting your fuel.
Why an oil separator?
When your engine vents crankcase pressure back through the intake, it carries oil vapor with it. On a turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost those crankcase pressures are higher, so more oil ends up coating your intake tube, manifold runners, and valves — and it can even dilute your fuel and drop effective octane. The J&L 3.0 catches that vapor before it ever reaches the intake.
Milled from solid billet aluminum, it's a rock-solid piece with a knurled tank base for quick draining and an O-ring seal to keep it leak-free.
How it works
A fine stainless-steel mesh screen traps oil vapor and lets it collect until it's heavy enough to drop. It then passes through a 1/2" thick aluminum honeycomb filter where the droplets grow and fall into the base. By the time oil gets through, it's too heavy to carry on into the intake.
The tank holds 3 oz — plenty for a PCV system. Drain it every 2,000–3,000 miles and you'll never come close to filling it. Want more capacity? Add the can extension to double it to 6 oz.
⚙️ Plug-N-Play Install — About 30 Minutes
OEM-style quick-connect fittings mean no cutting and no permanent changes — retain your stock hose if you ever return to stock. Easy to install, easy to service. Instructions below.
Watch the install
The filtered side of the can goes to the PCV (“dirty”) connection; the open port runs to your intake. Follow the quick-connect release carefully — press the grey/green tab and pull up, and never remove the clips from the fitting.
2021 owners, read this: Ford changed the PCV line location mid-year in 2021 (around 10/21 build dates). This driver-side separator fits the later change (2021.5–2024). If you have an early 2021 Bronco, check your build date and compare to the install photos — you'll want our 2021–2021.5 version instead.
California note: This product is NOT CARB exempt and cannot be sold or shipped to California or other states that follow CA emissions standards. Orders with a CA shipping address will be cancelled.
Will this fit my 2021 Bronco? Only if it's a later-2021 build (after the mid-year PCV change, ~10/21). Early 2021 builds need our 2021–2021.5 version. 2021.5–2024 fit this one.
Which side is this? Driver side, PCV (dirty) side — the side under vacuum most of the time and where you'll catch the most oil.
How often do I drain it? Check at 500–1,000 miles to learn your rate; most drain every 2,000–3,000 miles. Cold climates fill faster from condensation.
Will it void my warranty? Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealer must prove an aftermarket part caused a failure to deny a claim. Keep your stock hose to return to stock anytime.
