Hood Overlay - 2021+ Bronco

BRONCO Hood Overlay

Long before the Bronco came out it has been customary for off roaders to put matte material on their hood to cut out glare.  This glare can come from the sun or lights mounted above the vehicle's hood.

Not only does it serve a function (potentially depending on the color you choose), but it can add some contrast and style at the same time.

NOTE:  2 sets are sold at a reduced price.  Keep it as a backup or in case your first install proves to be difficult.

Colors

We're starting off offering 3 different types of materials.  All of these materials are sourced in the US and are a premium choice for your vehicle.

Matte black is one of the easiest colors to install in general.  It stretches and responds to heat very well.

The gloss black we chose has air egress channels and that is why it is a little more expensive than standard colors.  Air egress channels assist in providing a path for air to escape during installation (less bubbles).  Some cost is also due to the fact that it is cast versus calendared.

General Formulations 3D carbon wrap also has air egress channels and a textured, dark appearance.  We've used it for tons of accents.  To clean, use 303 Aerospace Protectant.  It'll look great!  Don't use any type of wax.

All options have high outdoor durability ratings.

Installation

Clean the application area to prepare it for installation.  Just use a wax free detailing spray if your vehicle is not too dirty.

NOTES:  We recommend that the installation area be free of wax and not under direct sunlight.

  • Microfiber
  • Detailing Spray
  • Soapy Water (we recommend our StickerFab Installation Fluid)
  • Heat Gun or Hair Dryer (optional)
  • Supplied Felt Tip Squeegee

Wet installs require one drop of dish or hand soap in a cup of water.  Apply to the vinyl so that the first attempt doesn't make the vinyl permanently stick to the surface.  Then you can slide it around and push out the extra water once it is in place with your squeegee.

Try doing the install in the shade so it doesn't heat up the vinyl rapidly.

Watch our video for more details.  We purposely did a long installation and did not skip any parts.  You may fast forward and rewind at your own leisure.

Just what I wanted

I bought the two-pack because I was sure I was going to botch the first application, but it went on perfect! I used the soapy water method and had zero issues with the provided felt-tipped squeegee.

Looks great! I couldn't be happier

Excellent

Excellent quality, I followed the steps in the video tutorial and it went on great. I did have one small bubble which had disappeared the next day.
I shouldn’t have but the day after install I went through a car wash, no problem.
Sticker fab have great quality products.

Easy install and looks great

I watched the video here and was more afraid than I should have been. Find and mark the center lines with masking tape and sharpie like in the video, clean hood really well, then use a spray bottle with soapy water and wet the crap out of the hood and sticker. The wetter the better. It makes the sticker forgiving and the easy to position. Once in position start in the center and work your way out with the squeegee. Slow and steady wins the race. The most difficult part was figuring out where to position the Badlands overlay. There are no straight lines to work from. We decided to match the curve on the left side to the curve of the base sticker. I think it looks great.

Easy to do and looks amazing

This was so easy to do and it looks fantastic. Quick detail with microfiber cloth, lots of soapy water on the car and the vinyl with a spray bottle, two people with long arms and a hairdryer and 15 minutes later we were done. I absolutely love how it has transformed the look of my bronco.
