3M 4298 Adhesive Promoter Sponge Applicator
3M Adhesion Promoter 4298 is a liquid primer sponge packet used for most low surface energy plastics. This would include common low surface energy plastics used for automotive dash and interior trim applications (TPO, PPO, PP, PC, PC + ABS, etc). Sponge applicator packet is 2.5cc per packet. One packet covers approximately 150 square inches of substrate at the recommended coating thickness.

- Ideal for prepping substrate surface for effective bonding of attachment tape to automotive parts
- Suitable for use on PPO, PC and other LSE substrates in automotive applications
- Dries in 30 - 90 seconds
- Easy to apply directly from sponge applicator packet
Only apply to the area which will be completely covered with double sided tape.
NOTE: We do not recommend using the promotor on stealth PPF surfaces. or vinyl wraps.

Used the adhesive promoter to adhere a “Bronco” decal to my truck. I followed the directions and found that the product does promote adhesion. My decals are secure on the truck, I’ve been thru several car washes and I do not have any issues.
