Redesigned from Scratch for the 6th Gen 4Runner
LFD's first rack for the 2025+ 4Runner isn't a carry-over — it's a ground-up redesign with one-piece stainless rails sitting an inch lower, CNC-formed crossbars with universal mounting slots, and their quietest wind fairing yet.
Lower, Tougher, Quieter Than Before
The new side rails are one-piece, multi-bend 11-gauge 304 stainless steel — the same grade used in marine hardware. They sit a full inch lower than LFD's previous generation designs while retaining the multi-bend construction that gives them their rigidity. Mounting feet are integrated directly into the rail (not bolted on as separate brackets), and front feet apply upward pressure against the roof for a rattle-free, secure fit.
All crossbar hardware is stainless Grade 8 M8 button-head bolts with black oxide finish. Installation uses existing factory holes — no drilling, no permanent modifications.

Mount Anything — CNC Crossbars with Universal Slots
Every crossbar has a center slot compatible with M8 bolts, T-nuts, or 3/8" bolts — the three most common hardware standards for roof rack accessories. Lights, recovery tracks, water containers, awning arms, and overland gear can be bolted or clamped anywhere along any bar. No adapter plates, no proprietary mounting systems.
The wind fairing is stainless steel with rubber edge trim, mounted on a dedicated aluminum crossbar. LFD recommends a strip of 3M Paint Protection Film under the edge trim to protect the hood paint.

Yes — this rack was purpose-designed for the 6th Gen 4Runner (2025+). It is not a carry-over from the 5th Gen design.

Carbon steel vs stainless crossbars — what's the difference?
Both are CNC-cut, bent, welded, and powder-coated. Stainless (304) crossbars offer better long-term corrosion resistance — ideal if you're in a wet climate or near salt air. Carbon steel is the more cost-effective option. The side rails are 11-gauge 304 stainless in all configurations.
