5V USB to 12V RJ11 Power Cable
- Plug and Play Solution to Power Many Radar Detectors
- Aides in cleaning up installations
- 12" overall length, ~10" cable length
Here's a solution that prevents messy wires that we use ourselves! It is a universal part, but conveniently Bronco owners with the lux package have a dash mounted USB port.
This takes a standard 5V USB plug and gives you an RJ11 12V jack which is compatible with many radar detectors from popular manufacturers like Escort, Valentine, and Uniden.
Please check your radar manufacturer for specifications.
1 year warranty. Be careful not to place tension on the wire. This can break the casing and bend the connection between the PCB, port, and internal wires.
Used this to make a hardwired (stealth) Radar Detector install on my Mazda CX-5 Signature. Since I already had a Dashcam Power Adapter "Mirrortap" to USB-A adapter installed to provide power for my Dashcam prior to hardwiring it to activate Parking Mode as the Mirrortap only provides switched power and not a constant 12V source needed for Parking Mode. This adapter allowed me to make use of this USB-A port already installed to power up my Uniden Radar Detector with a 12V switched power source. Works great for my need.
Works like a charm.
Great little adapter that allows me to run a radar detector on my motorcycle from my Tecmate battery tender. Sticker Fab seems to be the only one who sells these types of adapters. It also works with the beltronics rx65 radar detector.
